Veterinary Ultrasound

Veterinary ultrasound has progressed immensely since its introduction in the 1980s.The original veterinary machines tended to be large ,heavy and complicated with a poor image quality. Significant improvements in probe design, machine features and battery technology have vastly increased diagnostic capabilities, and have brought the technology into mainstream use.

Manufacturers such as Sonosite, E.I Medical and Sonoscape have adopted state of the art technology to produce machines with software dedicated specifically to the veterinary profession and hardware that reflects the vulnerability of machines in the workplace.
